Subject: Update and Clarification on Mandated Reporter Training link, Live Scan Forms, CMG Connect Training link, and TB Forms and Who to they Go to
Many of you have had questions regarding the new volunteer requirements, including Mandated Reporter Training, Live Scan, CMG Connect Training and the TB Risk Assessment/Examination—specifically, where to find the forms, who they are submitted to, and how to complete each requirement.
I also want to provide some clarification regarding the Mandated Reporter Training. When we initially sent out the information to our families, we were not yet aware that the Diocese of San Diego was involved in managing the training and that each Catholic school has its own designated school account. Because we did not have the complete information at that time, several families may have already started or completed the training without knowing that it needed to be connected specifically to St. Therese Academy.
We sincerely apologize for the confusion, and the information regarding these requirements was not provided to me all at once. We are working to make sure that families who have already started the training are properly connected to our St. Therese Academy account. We will provide clear directions below on how to join our school organization and ensure that your training is correctly associated with STA. I really wish I could have had all of this to you much, much sooner.
Mandated Reporter Training
The Mandated Reporter Training is specific to each school and is managed through the Diocese of San Diego, which handles and manages most of the trainings for the Catholic schools. Each school has its own designated link, so it is very important that you use the St. Therese Academy (STA) link when registering.
If you have already started or completed the training using a different link, please do not start over or complete the training again at this time. We will work with you to get you connected to your existing training to St. Therese Academy.
For families who have not yet started the training, please use this link, which is specifically designated for St. Therese Academy
Once you open the link:
-
Select Group > Elementary School – Volunteer.
-
Enter your email address.
-
Click Join Organization.
-
You will then be directed to the next screen to Create an Account.
-
Complete the training as directed.
Please make sure you are joining St. Therese Academy through the link above so your training is properly associated with our school.
If You Have Already Completed This Year’s Training, follow these steps:
If you have already completed the training but did so not through our link, click on the link above, follow the above steps, and log in with your log in information you created when you set up your account. You can then contact Mandated Reporter Training through the chatbot located in the bottom-right corner of the website once you are logged in and the chatbot can assist with:
1. Transferring your training progress
2. Transferring your certificates
3. Resetting your account so you can begin or continue this year’s required training if you were not finished. If you are currently unable to move forward with the training because your account needs to be reset, this is the issue you will need to address through the chatbot. Simply ask the chatbot to reset your account so you can continue with this year’s training course.
4. Answer any questions you may have moving forward
Live Scan
You may complete your Live Scan at any authorized Live Scan location. To assist families with the Live Scan requirement, we have included a flyer provided to the school office by the Abbo family, whose family business offers Live Scan services at several locations. STA families who visit one of the locations listed on this LIVESCAN FLYER and identify themselves as members of the St. Therese Academy community will receive a discount.
Important: You must use the Live Scan form provided by St. Therese Academy. The form includes our specific:
-
ORI Code: A0438
-
OCA #: 028 – St. Therese Academy
The correct form can be accessed via the link below and is also available in the school office. Please note that this Live Scan is specific to St. Therese Academy and is not transferable.
Once you have completed the Live Scan specifically for St. Therese Academy, you will not need to complete another Live Scan for the duration of your children’s enrollment at STA, unless your child(ren) withdraw from and later reenroll at St. Therese Academy.
FORM: Live Scan – specifically for St. Therese Academy
